121 ARW runs the ramp
“Fitness is not just about passing a physical fitness test, but more about making it a culture,” said Chief Master Sgt. Marc Hogenbirk, the Cyber Support Chief Enlisted Manager of the 121 ARW Communications Squadron. “It's about building resilient Airmen, strengthening teams, and motivating each other.”
Hogenbirk, along with Capt. Ana Velez, a public health officer with the 121 ARW, created Run the Ramp to help promote a stronger fitness culture across the Wing.
“This event was such a fun experience,” said U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Lauren Ellis, a recruiting and retention admin with the 121 ARW. “It was great to connect with members from all over the base, build camaraderie, and enjoy some time together outside of our usual work environments.”
The goal of Run the Ramp is to set a higher fitness standard, lead by example, and make fitness a part of who we are as a force.
“At the end of the day, if we prioritize fitness in our lives, it really is a lot of fun and rewarding,” said Hogenbirk.
